Frequently Asked Questions

Question: What is Power Start?
Answer: Power Lunch, an Exusia Ministry, is now offering an exciting small group opportunity to people within the workplace. Power Start usually consists of 4-12 members, and this intimate size fosters an environment of friendship, trust, and true fellowship. Power Start provides a system of support and accountability: members encourage and help each other through hardships, and share in each other’s triumphs. Plus, Power Starters are encouraged to reach beyond themselves and touch others in tangible ways with the love of Jesus.

Q: What happens after I Apply?
A: Your application will be reviewed and you will be contacted for an interview to discuss your application.

Q: What if I have never led a bible study before, should I apply?
A: If you are feeling the Lord leading you to apply for this ministry, than we trust in the Power of God to prepare you and to have already given you what you need to do what He is calling you to do. There will also be training and orientation for the Leaders.

Q: Will someone help me with the bible study lessons?
A: The Power Start ministry will partner you with a Mentor and the ministry will provide training to enable you to facilitate and lead the bible studies. Power Start will have online bible study resources available to you also.

Q: How will I attract people to my Small Group Study?
A: The Spirit of the Lord attracts and brings people. Usually word of mouth invitations will get you started, after that others will come out of curiosity as the members testify of the transforming power of the word of God. Optimally the groups will be no larger than 4-12 members, so starting small should not be a concern.

Q: Why should I join Power Start?
A: God never meant for us to be lone rangers. Instead, God created each of us for fellowship --- and fellowship is more than chatting over pastries or a football game after church! The New Testament of the Bible teaches that true fellowship means becoming intimately involved with your bothers and sisters in Christ. It’s through authentic relationships like the ones developed in Power Start that we experience the church as God intended it. As we open up our hearts, our faith is able to grow by leaps and bounds.

Q: Where and when does Power Start meet?
A: Power Start groups meet in the workplace. Each Power Start group meets individually as organized by the Leader at a convenient time and location for the group.
