ABOUT SMALL GROUPS

It began in the Bible. When God wrapped Himself in flesh in the person of Jesus, He decided to change the world, not by recruiting thousands of people, but by intimately sharing with twelve and trusting them to reach the thousands. His was the first small group, and the model has been working ever since.

Many churches champion small group ministries, especially mega-churches because they are a way to keep more accountable, more accessible, and more aligned with God’s word. There are no titles and no side agendas or gossip. Just a covenant that says God has placed us here to be here for one another. Small groups are good for creating dialogue and fleshing out the issues that can’t be addressed in a one-sided conversation.

POWER START’s goal of small groups and spiritual relationships is to be forums where people really can feel it’s safe to talk about issues. Our Mission statement is:

To provide Christians in the workplace an opportunity to gather, share, and strengthen their faith in the Lord, while witnessing to others in a non-traditional setting;

To promote fellowship, accountability and growth in members of the Body of Christ in an intimate environment, as a supplement to the regular worship experience;

To provide sound, biblical teaching and instruction in Christian Leadership to impact the everyday lives of people seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord.
